| Our ministry name, OneHope, reflects the desire to present the Living Word of God in an engaging way to children and youth all over the world. Jesus Christ is the only hope for eternity — and when we present Him to the next generation ... lives are transformed. OneHope began in 1987 when the nation of El Salvador asked for the Scriptures for every schoolchild in the nation. From this effort, the Book of Hope was created: a Scripture book for children and youth that tells the life story of Jesus in chronological order and leads young people to choose faith in Christ. TO DATE, OVER 600 MILLION CHILDREN AND YOUTH HAVE BEEN TOUCHED THROUGH THE BOOK OF HOPE!Today, new media have been developed to help provide God’s Word to all children and youth in various forms — even those who cannot read. This includes our innovative computer-generated animation film, The GodMan. It presents the entire life of Christ story with a live-action introduction and conclusion, sharing God’s Word with children who can’t read or in places where gospel literature can’t go. |
OneHope works in partnership with local churches worldwide so that children and families can be brought into a faith community and discipled once they receive the Word of God. The Book of Hope and The GodMan film are available in dozens of language editions and versions for various age groups and cultures. They have impacted young people in over 125 countries of the world. Remarkably it takes an average of just 33¢ to reach a child somewhere in the world with the life-transforming Word of God through the Book of Hope. The ‘extended arm’ of OneHope is made up of OneHope Teams whose mission is to reach every child with God’s Word! Believers travel domestically and worldwide to personally deliver God’s Word to the children and youth through presentations that include drama, song, personal life applications, and citywide evangelistic rallies called “HopeFests”. Teams are an engaging, effective and relevant approach to mission trips. There are a variety of options for missionaries and volunteers of all ages to become involved with OneHope Teams.
